Why is the Honda CRV costlier than other SUVs?
I'm not sure it is costlier. We just purchased two 2017 models: One is a Touring, the other is an EX with cloth interior. Before purchasing the EX, my boyfriend painstakingly put together a spreadsheet cross referencing all the features of many 4 cyl. compact SUVs: Kia Sportage, Subaru Forrester, Nissan Rogue, Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV-4, Honda CR-V. Toyota was more expensive. Honda and Subaru were within $600 of each other, I believe Nissan was similar. Mazda came in at the best cost and value, but with the caveat of some features not being available at all. Kia was the worst value of them all — they charged a lot for fewer features. Honda also has one of the lowest total costs of ownership. We scratched Kia and Toyota after a test drive due to price/value concerns. From there, we looked at personal preference. Nissan was scratched due to a rougher ride, less comfortable seating, and their adaptive cruise not performing as well as Honda. Mazda scratched due to suboptimal rear visibility and no sunroof. The decision came down to Subaru and Honda -- the cars therefore within $600 of each other. Honda’s performance with the features we are most likely to use on a daily basis, was better. He drove home with the CR-V EX.

According to jeep they have launched the compass at a price of 25 lakhs on road and now they have took the customers feedback and they have corrected most of the faults they felt important.Even then they didn’t bring the Automatic yet,but its a real value for money package with raw AWD package and sunroof,Tailgate,space in the cabin,New touch screen etc.One must come to a decision after knowing them good than the mouth talk some people would spread.I am not partial on any brands and pls dont misunderstand me on that.Everything based on the research i did.
Which is a better long term buy: a 2017 Kia Sportage, Honda CRV or Mazda CX-5?
I doubt you'll even be able to carry alll the negative equity over. You will need a siginificant down payment. You just learned a lesson. It's never a good idea to buy a new car. So don't trade in your car for another new car! What if, back in 2014 you bought a used Chevy Cruze for $9,000? Instead of a new one for $22,000. Just think of the money saved. No one would know it's a couple years old. It would probably be half paid off as well. People who make under 40 grand a year are putting far too much of their income into what they drive. A better long term buy would be to buy a 15 year old Honda in good condition for several grand. Get rid of your car payments. They're not normal and sending so many people into unnecessary poverty. But hey, they're driving a nice car! I drive a 1989 Volvo with power locks, windows, sunroof and heated seats. Paid $900. Spent another $900 getting it road ready such as new tires, muffler, shocks and what not. Its a very fun car to drive and it is awesome having no car payments! When I see nice cars on the road I just think of how many hours they need to work each week to be able to afford to drive that.
