Proton and Bank Rakyat are offering special financial packages
Fresh graduates and government employees can get special financial packages on specific Proton cars. This special package will be available until 31 December 2019.
The packages consist of two special financing rates:
New graduates aged between 20-30 and government employees aged between 18-60 can enjoy the special offer for the purchase of the Proton Persona, Iriz, Exora and Saga.
Sarawak plans to get Petronas to pay 5% sales tax
Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Openg said that he intends to impose 5% sales tax on the export of petroleum and its products from the operation in Sarawak.
“When Petronas is operating in Canada, they follow the law of that country and when they operate in Sarawak, they must also comply with our law,” he stressed.
Malaysia’s E-hailing Regulations effective 12 Oct 2019

This is most likely due to the fact that Volkswagen Malaysia is gearing up for the introduction of the updated Passat, which made it global debut earlier this year.

Bangkok 2019 All-new Nissan Almera with 1.0L turbo engine?
According to Thai auto site headlightmag, Nissan could be introducing the all-new Almera at the 2019 Thailand Motor Expo in November, before introducing to other nations within the region.
As such, the all-new Nissan Almera is said to receive a brand new 1.0-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder (HR10DET) petrol engine that does 100 PS at 5,000 rpm and 144 Nm from 2,000 rpm.
Volvo Cars and Geely to create standalone engine development company
Volvo Cars and Geely announced that they have plans to create a standalone business focused on developing the next generation combustion engines and hybrid powertrains.
The new arrangement is to allow Volvo Cars to focus on developing electric drivetrains. Volvo has high hopes that by 2025, 50% of the brand’s sales volume will be fully electric.
