Some might say it was a little ahead of its time, and people couldn't appreciate the Honda Freed enough when it was in Malaysia for a very brief flicker in time (4 years). 10 years on since it left our shores, a new generation is about to launch in Japan.
These are the first few leaked images of the all-new, third-generation 2024 Honda Freed that's set to replace its predecessor that's been around since 2016. This early look affords us a view of the fresh exterior; all rounded and shapely now, while still maintaining the high roofline that lends the Freed its super-spacious interior.
Images of the rear and cabin โ said to still maintain its 7-seat layout โ are still under wraps, though the wait won't be too long as the car will make its Japanese debut very soon.
At the forefront too would be the Freed's adoption of Honda's e:HEV hybrid system (the current car uses the older Sport Hybrid i-DCD powertrain), though performance figures have not been released yet. It's likely to share it with the Fit, which is powered by a 1.5-litre dual-motor setup that makes a combined 123 PS.
