Enter what could possibly be the only five-cylinder Golf R in the world. The stock four-pot was swapped for a 2.5-litre turbo unit from the Audi RS3 but with a name like ‘The Turbo Engineers’, they took it upon themselves to strap a bigger turbo on it.
Because that's what you do to make 740 PS. 40 PS more than a Lamborghini Aventador SV.
The whole package adds up to EUR 7,800. It's not cheap, but its cool to have access to this much power in a car that still retains its four-door family car roots, with the only visually telling signs being subtle lowering and huge carbon ceramic brakes peeking behind the lightweight wheels.
