Prefer subtlety? Here's what to expect from the non-hybrid variants of the 2024 Honda City Hatchback facelift in Malaysia

Ahead of its Q2 2024 launch, the 2024 Honda City Hatchback facelift is now open for booking in Malaysia. There's lots to expect from the model in this update – including a new look and a bevy of feature enhancements.
In typical facelift fashion, the petrol variants of the City Hatchback are to get its own set of exterior enhancements as well. Obvious changes are a redesigned front bumper, and perhaps even a new set of wheels to echo what's on the sedan.
Changes at the back are slightly more subtle, with a more pronounced 'cutout' on the bumper, which looks virtually the same otherwise.
Closer look at the grille and overall front
As for color options, the current range is expected to remain unchanged, including Ignite Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Pearl, and Crystal Black Pearl. However, there's speculation that the new WR-V's Stellar Diamond Pearl might also find its way to the City in the future.
Interior: Wireless connectivity, USB-C ports
Typical of Honda launches, details of the interior aren't made clear right up to when the car is introduced proper. Same case here – so these are more towards educated guesses based on what we know from the Thai-spec car, and the facelifted City sedan.
This largely means a new connectivity upgrade, bringing a pair of USB-C ports at the back by the air-cond vents, as well as the introduction of wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay through the 8-inch infotainment screen.
Pertinently for the petrol variants, it should also replace the old black-and-white multi-info display nestled between the gauges to a newer, coloured 4.2-inch screen. The fabric and leather seat upholstery (depending on variant) aren't likely to change.
Honda Sensing: Finally, LCDN and LSF
The most significant upgrade would then be the introduction of Honda Sensing ADAS throughout the range, which means that every model that Honda Malaysia sells upon the City Hatchback facelift's launch will be fitted with such driver aids.
Anyway, for the non-hybrid variants of the model, the kit should be as follows, with Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN) a new addition:

Powertrain: 1.5-litre DOHC NA remains unchanged
The powertrain lineup remains unchanged, with the City Hatchback offering two engine options. There's a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder i-VTEC DOHC making 121 PS and 145 Nm paired to a CVT, while the RS e:HEV nets a 1.5-liter dual-motor hybrid making a combined 253 Nm and an e-CVT gearbox.
Prices and launch date:
In summary, the 2023 Honda City facelift introduces subtle yet significant updates. The refreshed exterior breathes new life into the model in a fiercely competitive segment, while the comprehensive ADAS system provides a much-needed safety boost.
