It took just 2 days to receive the first 800 bookings for the 2024 BYD Seal, marking a stellar start for the EV sports sedan that was launched last week.
In line with this Sime Darby Beyond Auto, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia will offer an additional 300 BYD Seal Early Bird special packages which includes a complimentary Wall Charger and RM 800 in Gentari/ChargEV charging credits.

To recap, the BYD Seal comes Fully imported (CBU) from China and if offered in two variants at the following prices:
- Premium RWD - RM 179,800 (RM 180,430 OTR without insurance)
- Performance AWD - RM 199,800 (RM 200,430 OTR without insurance)
The Premium RWD variant, it gets an 82.5 kWh LFP Blade battery, offering an estimated range of 570 km (WLTP) and a 313 PS/360 Nm rear-mounted motor.
The range-topping Performance AWD variant features the same battery but adds a second motor for all-wheel-drive capability. This configuration delivers an output of 530 PS/670 Nm and a range of up to 520 km (WLTP).

The BYD Sealβs main rival in the EV segment is the Tesla Model 3 with prices starting at RM 189,000 for the Standard Range variant and RM 218,000 for the Long Range model.
