Neta Auto Malaysia is set to breathe new energy into our seemingly ever-expanding battery electric vehicle (BEV) market by previewing nearly the whole range of their available models.

Details are still under wraps at the moment, but a video shown by Neta Auto Seremban shows the Neta GT, Aya (the Neta V facelift, actually), the X SUV, and the S sedan. These three cars are still left-hand drive (LHD), so it's not a "launch imminent" thing just yet, but rather a preview.

If we were to stoke to flames, there's a chance that they could be previewed at next week's Malaysia Autoshow, given that Neta will be participating then as well.

Neta specs in Malaysia

Neta's sole challenger currently in our country is the V, a compact SUV with 95 PS and 160 Nm, and can do 380 km (CLTC) on a single charge. The Neta Aya that was seen in the video is actually the facelifted V with a new name and improved range of up to 418 km per the CLTC cycle.

The rest of the models are slightly more exciting however, beginning with the Neta GT. It's the Chinese company's take on a two-door sports car of the electric age, with power ranging from 231 PS to 462 PS (RWD and AWD, respectively), and an electric range of up to 580 km per the CLTC.

Meanwhile, the S sedan is their answer to the Tesla Model S. Four-door, lithe, and with a techy interior, the sedan comes with either a BEV or REEV powertrain in China, with the latter featuring a 43 kWh battery supported by a 1.5-litre engine to enable a range of up to 1,160 km. The BEV versions are capable of up to 715 km on a single charge, on the CLTC test.

Last but not least is the Neta X SUV aims to take on the BYD Atto 3 at its own game, coming with a 163 PS motor and up to 501 km range following the CLTC standard. We have taken a closer look at this vehicle last week ahead of its purported launch in the second half of this year.
