Kia Picanto - Overview Introduced back in 2013, the Kia Picanto is the A-segment alternative to the local representatives. The B-segment Perodua Myvi and Proton Iriz - which are sold around the same price range. While some might argue that comparing the three might be a disadvantage to the Picanto, simply because of the class segments, the reality is that the baby Kia is the cheapest among the two and just by face It's value is also the best in its class. Today we’ll be having a look at the third-generation Picanto and see what’s in store for the 2019 model.

What do you look for in a daily runabout? I would hazard a guess and say – fuel efficiency, space, and low maintenance cost. With those criteria, it’s little wonder that the Perodua Myvi tops the sales chart year after year. Proton’s attempt to steal the thunder was, and perhaps still is, with the Iriz. Evidently, that didn’t go as well as Proton had hoped, but I’ve always had a soft spot for the Proton Iriz . The biggest bugbear personally is the CVT despite the continuous updates. Has the 2022 Proton Iriz facelift finally ironed out all the kinks? Well, I’d say nearly, and we shall get into that in a moment.

After a couple of weeks of leaks and teases, the 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift is now officially launched. There are five variants offered, priced from RM 45,700 to RM 58,800 (OTR without insurance and SST). Perodua has collected 4,303 bookings for the facelifted Myvi within a 9-day period since bookings were open.
