This Rolls-Royce Cullinan model is the most expensive toy car in the world

Check out Wuling’s new toy car-looking Hongguang Mini EV

Looks like the Mini EV2 X2 has a new rival in China. This Wuling Hong Guang Mini EV is the latest small electric vehicle (EV) on the market and it is cheaper and more practical than all its rivals. As like most small cars, the boxy 3-door Wuling EV’s design is inspired by Japanese Kei-cars. Overall, the Hong Guang looks very much like a life-size toy car with its straight simple lines and a colour scheme that gives the EV the illusion of a floating roof. Thanks to its size of 2,917 x 1,493 x 1,6

The electric Proton Tiara was Citroën’s first production electric car

We’ve seen various attempts at innovation by Proton such as the Arena, Juara, and Savvy. As an automaker, Proton is actually quite young considering Hyundai was founded in 1967 and Volkswagen was founded pre-World War 2. Proton was founded in 1983. Now, one car you might remember from Proton is the Proton Tiara. It was an oddball since it was Proton’s only collaboration with a French automaker. The Tiara had a 1.1 L 4-cylinder engine that only made 57 PS of maximum power. The transmission was a

Nissan turned the Nissan Dayz Kei car into an EV for cats!

Kei cars have always tickled our “cute” bones, I mean we’re all huge fans of cars like the Suzuki Cappuccino, Daihatsu Taft, and even the Nissan Dayz. But what makes them even cuter, is when car companies decided to downsize them for our pets! Yes, Nissan Motor Co. introduced a downsized adorable mini version of the Kei car, the Nissan Dayz, for our beloved cats to take out for a spin. Translated to Nyasan Days, probably to distinguish it from its full-size counterpart, the little electric car e

Xiaomi teases new car, but there's a twist

It seems that Xiaomi could be hinting the launch of a new car based on a now-deleted image on Xiaomi’s Weibo account. But wait, there’s a twist! Let’s look at this life-size Mitsubishi-powered Tamiya car & watch it go!

If you grew up watching an anime called “Bakusou Kyoudai Let’s & Go!” or even read the manga of the same name in the 1990s, you would surely recognise this iconic Tamiya Mini 4WD. For those who don’t know or have vague memories about it, the anime and manga revolve around two brothers, Let’s and Go Seiba, as they compete against one another to be the best Mini 4WD racer. You know, typical shounen stuff – think Yu-Gi-Oh or Naruto with little toy cars instead of cards and ninjas. Our friends at Fu

The car was co-invented by a woman, Bertha Benz but patent laws wouldn't recognize her work

History recognized Carl Benz as the inventor of the modern car but we won't have the modern car if not for a woman, who in today's world, would've been recognized as a co-inventor, rather than merely the wife of the inventor. The only reason Carl Benz was solely credited for the invention of the car was simply because German patent laws at that time didn’t allow women to register any patents. Berlin’s Imperial Patent Office only granted Mr. Carl Benz of the Benz & Co. company in Mannheim as owne

War of the MPVs with rear-seat entertainment!

Rear seat entertainment display is a luxury that many of us would perceive as a rich man’s toy. Most of us would have the pleasure of pulling up next to a Toyota Alphard or a Vellfire spy a drop down screen behind the driver’s seat (more often than not playing cartoons) and a collective audience tentatively watching. While rear seat entertainment is rather common as an after market accessory, cars like the Kia Grand Carnival and the Nissan Serena S-Hybrid come with one built-in from the factory.

The Honda S660 was once nearly launched in Malaysia, so what killed it?

Honda Motor is reportedly winding down production of the Honda S660 with no replacement planned for the little kei sports car, after nearly six years in production (debuted in March 2015). It also means that enough years have gone past for confidentiality agreements to expire, thus allowing me to reveal some privileged information regarding Honda Malaysia’s plan to launch the S660 here, and what happened to that plan. Malaysia was once very close to becoming the first country outside of Japan to

From Hot Wheels-inspired hypercars to a modern VW Bus – The gems of Porsche Unseen

Porsche is more than just a maker of an uber fast version of the Volkswagen Beetle, it’s an innovative carmaker. Look at the Taycan, it has a name that sounds like a monster that blasts lightning from its mouth with tech that sounds better than Tesla. But Porsche has quite a few interesting concepts throughout history from an environmentally-friendly hatchback in the 1970s that has a body made out of wires to its own idea of a car designed for the then growing Chinese car market in the 1990s. Save up to RM 50k on a recond car or go for Certified Pre-Owned car?

When it comes to shopping for a car, terms like reconditioned cars and certified pre-owned (CPO) cars get tossed around a fair bit. On paper, both CPO and reconditioned (recond) cars are very similar – both are cheaper than a new car, allowing the buyer to save some money. But that’s where the similarities end, as they are world’s apart once you look closer. Recond cars – good on paper, but buyers beware While it may seem tempting to save RM 40k to RM 50k on a recond car versus a brand-new car,
