- In a class of one, with no direct competitors
- For those who don't want an SUV, but want the added practicality
- RM 4k more than the Volvo S60
The Volvo V60 Recharge T8 Inscription is now officially launched, priced at RM 286,909 (OTR without insurance and SST).
Before we continue, we'd like to extend our appreciation to Federal Auto Cars for the hospitality and making this photoshoot possible.
As its nomenclature suggests, the Volvo V60 Recharge T8 Inscription comes with a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-litre 4 cylinder paired with electric motors generating a combined output of 407 PS and 640 Nm of torque. 0-100 km/h sprint is rated at 4.6 seconds.
Unlike the S60 sedan, the V60 wears the Inscription trim with more chrome trim pieces rather than the gloss black finishings. Wheels are 19-inch in size, wrapped with 235/40 profile rubbers.
Inside, it gets the option of Linear Lime Decor Inlays with Maroon Brown Upholstery and Charcoal Headliner or Driftwood Decor Inlays with Charcoal Moritz Upholstery and Blond Headliner.
No Bowers & Wilkins sound system here unfortunately, but there's still a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system like in the Volvo S60.
Other features include panoramic sunroof, Head-up Display, Orrefors crystal gear knob, and 360-degree surround view camera.
Unlike the facelifted Volvo XC60, the V60 does not get Android Automotive OS. Instead, it uses the familiar Sensus Connect with 9-inch portrait touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

The 2022 Volvo V60 Recharge gets the ADAS suite of IntelliSafe that comes with AEB, LKA, CTA, BLIS, Oncoming Lane Mitigation, and Run-off Road Mitigation. There’s also Pilot Assist, a level 2 semi-autonomous driving feature.
“The addition of the Volvo V60 Recharge T8 as a PHEV brings Volvo another step forward in our electrification strategy. We are one step closer to realising our aspirations in having a fully electric line up by 2030 as we move further into a more sustainable future,” expressed Charles Frump, Managing Director of Volvo Car Malaysia.
