The all-new 2023Toyota C-HR is set to make its world debut on the 26-June 2023, and in-line with that the carmaker has dropped a small teaser showcasing what to expect.
Typical of these teases its just a single shot of its lightbar, and in between the tail lights its name is emblazoned in full; lit-up, it's a fresh take on the full-width tail lamp styles so many carmakers are doing today. Brightening the picture up a bit reveals just a little bit more of its angular design - which in itself carries the DNA of its stylish predecessor.
Where styling is concerned however, a more concrete look at the upcoming SUV is in December 2022's C-HR Prologue concept, though naturally it will be toned down a bit for production.
Toyota has disclosed before that their "exciting and sophisticated compact SUV" will come with regular hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains. We wouldn't discount a battery-electric (BEV) variant too, likely fitting into the brand's electric-only Beyond Zero (bZ) range.
Meanwhile, the first-gen Toyota C-HR is winding down the clock, having been most recently discontinued in Japan. It wasn't too much of a strong seller in Malaysia, and UMW Toyota Motor stopped selling it here in 2020 to make way for the Toyota Corolla Cross, leaving Thailand to be the only country in our region to still offer it.
