The Tesla Cybertruck has touched down on Malaysian soil, as seen on an Instagram post by Tesla Malaysia.
Looking at Tesla Malaysia website, the Cybertruck is already listed alongside the Model 3 and Model Y, both of which are available for the Malaysian market.
However, there's been no official announcement on the availability of the Cybertruck here. The unit thatโs landed here is likely to be in left-hand drive (LHD) configuration.
Just a quick rundown on the Tesla Cybertruck, it utilises an 800V architecture for its high-voltage battery system, coupled with a 48-volt low-voltage electrical system. It gets features like rear-wheel steering and a steer-by-wire system.
Constructed with Tesla's touted "exoskeleton," comprising of a material Tesla calls HFS (guess what it stands for) thatโs claimed to be able to reduce dents, damage, and long-term corrosion, with a bonus claim of being bulletproof to a certain extent.
In the US, customers can choose between a single-motor rear-wheel drive version (402 km range, output not available yet), dual-motor all-wheel drive (608 PS/10,080 Nm, 547 km range), or the tri-motor Cyberbeast (857 PS/13,959 Nm, 515 km).
The quest for automotive knowledge began as soon as the earliest memories. Various sources information, even questionable ones, have been explored including video games, television, magazines, or even internet forums. Still stuck in that rabbit hole.
