Merely days after Wapcar.my reported that the 2021 G28 BMW 3 Series (essentially a G20 long wheelbase) could be coming to Malaysia, we now have a spy shot of the new model right on home soil! Told ya so!

As seen in these photos, a transporter is seen carrying one black G28 BMW 330Li, decked out in the M Sport styling kit, as evident from its large trapezoidal muffler tips.

In fact, it appears (from this grainy video), that the 330Li could be offered with the same Vernasca Cognac leather upholstery like the G20 330i.

The G28 BMW 330Li made its global debut in China back in 2019, while the right-hand drive version will be introduced in India later this month.

As the name suggests, G28 3 Series features a wheelbase that is 110 mm longer than the standard car, adding another 43 mm to the rear legroom. The seats also receive better cushions and bolsters than the regular 3 Series.

The long wheelbase variant boasts an overall length of 4,829 mm (+120 mm). Its 1,463 mm (+ 28mm) height is also marginally taller than the regular G20 3 Series, though the width remains unchanged (1,827 mm).

Seeing that prices of the G20 3 Series tops out at RM 293,800 (330i, without SST exemptions), and the G30 5 Series’ price starts from RM 311,980 (520i, without SST exemptions) for, it would be logical for the G28 3 Series to be priced between the two models.
