Those holding out for the all-new 2022 Perodua Alza may need to wait for a fair bit more, as news from the grapevine reveals that the new people-mover has been delayed.
Initially set for a Q1 2022 launch, our friends over at Funtasticko has reported that the new MPV, codenamed D27A, has been pushed back to mid-2022, as Perodua aims to stabilize production of their current models.
Said source also mentioned that the production line at Perodua's plant in Rawang will undergo retooling (upgrading the machinery) to cater to the all-new Alza in January 2022, and production of the outgoing Alza is slated to end this month.
But that’s not all – the all-new 2022 Perodua Alza is also very likely going to be the first Perodua model to get support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ahead of Proton.
To recap, we have established that the next-generation Perodua Alza will be a twin model to the all-new Toyota Avanza, mirroring the Toyota Rush and Perodua Aruz arrangement.
