The French have got it all when it comes to design and one look at the Peugeot 3008 Allure, you can’t help but agree with the whole French style is tres magnifique (very beautiful in French). At RM 167,288, the 3008 has quite the competition in the hotly contested SUV market.
It is about RM 2,000 more than the Honda CR-V 1.5 TC-P 2WD (RM 165,800) but around RM 2,000 less than the Mazda CX-5 2.5G High 2WD (RM 169,960). Slotting between two of the most popular non-Proton SUVs, why should you even consider the Peugeot 3008?
Well, as the sole trim name suggests, the Peugeot 3008 makes an ‘alluring’ choice in a sea of regular-looking SUVs. It has European chic plastered all over it from those dashing slats below the headlights that mimic a lion’s whiskers to the Cuprite Brown paint that’s on our test unit.
If standing out is what you want in an SUV, then the locally assembled (CKD) 3008 works very well for you. Not to mention, it’s also very practical with the largest boot capacity compared to its more well-known Japanese rivals.
The SUV is style and substance all in one package but don’t just take our word for it. We’ll let Greg explain everything that is well, alluring, about the Peugeot 3008 in his video review below.
