According to Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, the Mitsubishi Triton was the top-selling double-cab pick-up truck as of January 2020, in four states namely Klang Valley, Melaka, Penang and Kedah, overtaking the Toyota Hilux.
Overall, the Toyota Hilux remained as the No.1 bestselling pickup truck in the country, owing to its dominance in East Malaysia.
In its segment, the Mitsubishi Triton was the only brand in the pick-up segment that successfully achieved positive growth and expanded its overall sales by 1.6% between April 2019 and January 2020, compared to the same period in the last financial year.
The beginning of the year 2020 saw Mitsubishi setting a record all-time high market share for Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia in the past 10 years, with a share of 22.8%.
Last year, Mitsubishi also achieved a number of top ranks in J.D Power 2019. Mitsubishi ranked number one in Malaysia Customer Service Index (CSI) Mass Market Study for the second consecutive year and remained in top 3 for five consecutive years, including a top 2 in Power Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study.
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has 52 showrooms throughout Peninsular Malaysia and 15 showrooms in East Malaysia.
