BMW wants to share its vision for an electrified future with you and they’re doing that with the ‘Forwardism, by BMW’ exhibition this 23-24 September 2023 weekend. What are the highlights of the show? Well' it's definitely their electric flagship, the BMW i7 xDrive60 M Sport.

The i7 is the electric version of the G70 BMW 7 Series range and is therefore identical in looks to the plug-in hybrid only 7 Series, of which BMW Group Malaysia offers the BMW 750e xDrive.
Therefore, distinguishing between the variants can be quite a tricky thing. Between those split headlights sits a massive glowing grille as well.
The cabin is fit for a king, with a massive 31-inch 8K resolution screen which extends downwards from the roof and transforms the second row of seats into a cinema on wheels.
Up front, there’s a curved dual-widescreen floating stack that runs the BMW Operating System 8. There’s also the latest version of the BMW Head-Up Display and the Augmented View function available for the driver.
From a powertrain perspective, the xDrive60 badge means dual electric motors, one on each axle for all-wheel drive.
Power is a healthy 544 PS and 745 Nm of torque. That’ll see it hit the century sprint in a claimed 4.7 seconds in case you’re running late for a hostile corporate takeover.
With a massive 101.7 kWh battery, the i7 has a WLTP range of up to 625 km. As for charging, max AC and DC charging is rated at 11 kW and 195 kW.
Seeing that BMW identifies the i7 as the electric version of the 7 Series, that also translates into sharing the Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform between the duo.
Pricing for the sole i7 variant sold in Malaysia is RM 729,800 and owning one is made much easier with BMW Group Financial Services and their Straight Line Financing Plan.
The plan places i7 ownership from a monthly instalment plan starting from RM 8,401 (based on estimates of an 80 percent loan on a 7-year tenure).
