As the automotive world embraces electrification, it is inevitable for brands to evolve according to the times. One of those icons is AMG-Mercedes and they could be debuting their very own EV model line-up soon.

According to Mercedes Blog, Mercedes-Benz has trademarked several AMG EQ designations, thus confirming that there will be electric AMGs. This over the Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S?

The German luxury carmaker has trademarked the EQE 43, EQE 53, and EQE 63 names with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. The EQE will be the electric variant of the E-Class sedan.
The EQE would be the fourth EQ model announced following the EQV van, the EQC crossover SUV, and the upcoming EQS flagship sedan.

It’s still up in the air in what goes under the AMG EQE but it would have less power than the EQS should Mercedes-Benz decide to offer its flagship an AMG variant.
According to the website, there are also plans for an SUV variant of the EQE and EQS in the pipeline. Besides that, an electric G-Class is also in the works which will retain the abilities of the iconic off-roader, not that most of its current buyers tackle off-roading.

There are also plans for an AMG hybrid supercar which could be called AMG GT 73. Unnamed sources told the blog that the supercar could be powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 and an electric motor for a combined output of around 800 PS.
