Here it is, the all-new 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W206) in all its glory mere days before everyone’s supposed to see it. These photos, published on The Automobilist Facebook page over the weekend, give us what the all-new compact executive sedan is supposed to look like.
Recall that the all-new C-Class is supposed to make its official global debut virtually on 23-February 2021 at 9 pm (Malaysian time).
Overall, in terms of looks, the W206 C-Class looks like a mini-W223 S-Class. Granted, it would be confusing for some but you can easily differentiate between the two from their size as the C-Class will be smaller than its flagship sedan brother.
Based on the leaked photos, this C-Class appears to be an Avantgarde trim. One telling sign that we think this to be the case is the front grille which doesn’t feature the three-pointed star pattern as shown in the teaser. Neither are there any AMG Line embellishments around the car.
Oh, and that trademark 'gunsight' hood ornament won't make it in the all-new C-Class either.
Not only do we see a clear look on the exterior of the W206, but the French automotive site also shared interior pics and if you’re having some phobia on touchscreen-filled interiors, best look away.
Just like its flagship brother, the W206’s interior uses a mostly similar layout with a huge vertical centre touchscreen being the most standout feature. Another change would be the shape of the air-con vents which appear to be more rectangular than circular as seen in the outgoing W205 C-Class.
Further details including the powertrains will only be revealed during the official launch. As reported before, all variants of the all-new C-Class will only feature a 4-cylinder engine with varying levels of electrification.
