Yet another leak after the BMW iX3. This is the 2020 G30 BMW 5 Series facelift (LCI) in all its glory.
From the front fender flap and the rear badge, it appears to be a plug-in hybrid model – the 530e. Contrary to earlier report, Bimmer Today believes that the rumoured 545e will be positioned above the 530e rather than replacing it.
BMW hasn’t gone the extra mile in enlarging the front grille, perhaps they understand the target market for the 5 Series who prefers a more discrete looking car. The front is just sharpened up, with a line that runs from the bumper through the newly designed headlamps and into the bonnet shut line.
And over to the rear, changes are even more subtle. The biggest change is the tail lamp graphics with J-like design. The rear bumper looks largely similar to the pre-facelift model, apart from the design elements in the diffuser area.
BMW is expected to unveil the 2020 BMW 5 Series facelift in the coming weeks, likely through a livestream.
The quest for automotive knowledge began as soon as the earliest memories. Various sources information, even questionable ones, have been explored including video games, television, magazines, or even internet forums. Still stuck in that rabbit hole.
