Audi reminds us it's still around by getting in on the post-SST pricing announcements

“Hey guys, remember us?” You can almost imagine Audi jumping up and down excitedly in an attempt to remind us that the marque is still very much alive in Malaysia and now has post-SST exemption pricing just like everyone else.

Certain models have yet to receive their revised pricing and Audi will be sure to update the pricing accordingly once the bean counters have done their calculations with the trusty abacus.

Audi is now under the stewardship of PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM), the official distributor of the brand in Malaysia. If the name rings a bell, that’s probably because the company is wholly owned by European automotive specialist Porsche Holding Salzburg (PHS), which also owns Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM).

Previously, the brand was represented by Audi Malaysia. The new structure now places both Volkswagen and its sister-brand Audi under the same umbrella. PHSAM will be led by two Managing Directors, Erik Winter and Kurt Leitner, who also hold the positions at VPCM.

PHSAM will carry on with the present product line-up that includes a selection of sedans, sportbacks and SUVs such as the A5, A7, Q3, Q5 and Q8, and performance RS models. There are no plans for local assembly (CKD) of Audi models.

Audi cars purchased from 1 July 2022 will also be offered with 3 years free maintenance, 5 years unlimited mileage warranty and 5 years roadside assistance.
