Grand Prix International Public Company Limited (GPI), organisers of the Bangkok International Motor Show, announced the new official date for the motor show. The 41st 2020 Bangkok International Motor Show will run from 15 July 2020 to 26 July 2020 at the Impact Exhibition hall.
So far, the automotive brands confirmed to be participating in the show include Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, FOMM, Ford, Honda, Hyundai Truck & Bus, Isuzu, Jaguar-Land Rover, Kia, Lamborghini, Lexus, Maserati, Mazda, MG Motor, Mini, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Subaru, Suzuki, Takano, Toyota, and Volvo Cars.

The annual motor show was previously postponed earlier this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. There was speculation that the show would be cancelled like the Beijing Motor Show earlier this year.
As part of the government-mandated safety measures, GPI has carried out steps to make sure that all visitors will remain safe during their visit. Like the use of eye temperature scanners that are used in airports in various countries across the world.
GPI has also ordered to have the main gangways be widened from the standard 6 metres to 10 metres while the spacing between booths will be widened from 3 metres to 6 metres. These changes were made to ensure that there is adequate space to maintain social distancing.
Meanwhile, Impact Muang Thong Thani, the venue owner will be arranging the scanning points for the visitor registrations and body temperature check. They will also be purchasing the Germ Saber UVC, an ultraviolet sterilisation robot for venue cleaning.
Unfortunately for us the in different countries, we will not be able to feast our eyes on the epic cars that will go on display. We can only wait for media releases of official photos from the Thai press.
