When the first crossover to bear the Corolla name made its world debut in Thailand in 2020, it fully cemented the longevity of the worldβs best-selling car with a trendy SUV style. The Toyota Corolla Cross is a sales juggernaut overseas despite looking as exciting as drywall and 4 years later, a facelift was unveiled in Thailand.
Previously teased by Toyota Motor Thailand, the new Corolla Cross gains a massive facelift that gives an EV-like appearance with a clean, almost grille-less design. The integrated honeycomb pattern certainly adds more flair than the anonymous face of the pre-facelift.

The back sports a redesigned rear bumper with the same honeycomb pattern integrated into the lower trim though this is with an optional accessory pack. While we are outside, the blue Toyota badge remains on the hybrid variants, which is absent on the Yaris Cross (DNGA) and Innova Zenix hybrid alongside Toyota's latest round HEV badge.

Inside, the changes are not as drastic either though there is a very welcoming feature added. Out goes the foot-operated parking brake and in goes an electric parking brake (EPB) as standard.
Higher variants of the new Corolla Cross receive a panoramic sunroof, a 10.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, a wireless charger, and a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster. The latter is a feature carried over from the Corolla Altis.

On the safety front, the Corolla Cross adds Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) with Stop & Go on top of the Toyota Safety Sense+ (TSS+) ADAS features offered on the pre-facelift.
Powertrains for the updated Thai-spec Corolla Cross are carried over from the pre-facelift. Two engines are available across 4 variants - a naturally aspirated 1.8-litre 2ZR-FE petrol engine (139 PS/172 Nm) and a 1.8-litre 2ZR-FXE hybrid powerplant (122 PS combined).
Prices for the new Corolla Cross in Thailand range between THB 999,000 to THB 1.254 million (~RM 133k-167k) which remains the same as the pre-facelift model.
