Previously, the 2022 Mazda CX-5 facelift was spied sans any camouflage giving us a good idea of what are the changes Mazda has done to the SUV. But the car in the spy shots was finished in a metallic beige colour, so Kolesa.ru has kindly rendered the car in the signature Soul Red for us.

The 2022 Mazda CX-5 is an update for the second-generation SUV introduced back in 2017. Overall, the CX-5 looks more sophisticated than before with its lightly restyled front end.

The facelift will sport larger grille inserts paired with a larger chrome trim piece. The car will also get restyled L-shaped DRLs along with a more angular bumper.

At the rear, the new CX-5 will look largely the same though Mazda did revise the tail lights for a more angular design.

Spy shots of the new CX-5 were taken from China when the SUV was undergoing registration processes. Chinese sources are speculating that the CX-5 still be powered by the same range of SkyActiv-G naturally-aspirated engines.
