Driven by someone called Captain Gaskrank on YouTube, the GR Yaris can be seen blasting away at the famed 'Green Hell', clocking a bridge to gantry (BTG) time of 7 minutes and 56 seconds.
For context, there's two ways of clocking the 'Ring: one is the full, 21 km lap and the other is this shorter (19.1 km) BTG option. The latter is usually reserved for tourists, which means driver skill and timing accuracy can vary.
That's not to takeaway from Captain Gaskrank's achievement though: to be that quick on a damp, foggy track on overcast conditions still requires impeccable skill.
It's a thoroughly exciting video to watch - check out how it passes a pair of Nissan GT-Rs like they were mere pedestrians - so prop your phone up and let the sweet sights and sounds of this three-cylinder fast hatch accompany your lunchtime.
But if you want something just a bit more crazier, check out this 1,000 PS, 2JZ-powered BMW E30 M3 doing M3 things at the 'Ring just a few months ago.
