Driven by someone called Captain Gaskrank on YouTube, the GR Yaris can be seen blasting away at the famed 'Green Hell', clocking a bridge to gantry (BTG) time of 7 minutes and 56 seconds.
The BTG section starts at the black line and ends at the yellow one, omitting the roughly 1.8 km main straight.
For context, there's two ways of clocking the 'Ring: one is the full, 21 km lap and the other is this shorter (19.1 km) BTG option. The latter is usually reserved for tourists, which means driver skill and timing accuracy can vary.
That's not to takeaway from Captain Gaskrank's achievement though: to be that quick on a damp, foggy track on overcast conditions still requires impeccable skill.
