While speaking at the launch of the 2023 Mazda CX-30 CKD, Executive Chairman of Bermaz Auto Berhad, Dato Seri Ben Yeoh said that the backlog of orders for Mazda now numbers up to 7,000 units across all models. He adds that Bermaz Auto is also racing to deliver vehicle orders that were made during the Penjana zero-SST period, which has a vehicle registration cut-off date of 31st March 2023. Rebadging is a common practice in the auto industry, as manufacturers often rebadge different models and selling it as theirs. By now, Malaysians are familiar with rebadging, for better or worse. Enter the Toyota Rush, which is essentially a rebadged Perodua Aruz but with a much higher price tag, both are 7-seater B-segment SUVs, produced by Daihatsu, or in our case, Perodua.
