[ WapCar ] Battery charging time, that is, the time it takes to charge the battery, is generally divided into two types: fast charging and slow charging. Fast charge and slow charge are relative concepts, generally, fast charge uses high-power DC charging, which can charge the battery from about 30% to 80% in a short period of time. Slow charge uses AC power, and the charging process takes 6-8 hours or longer time. The charging speed of electric vehicles is closely related to battery capacity, charger power, battery charging characteristics and temperature. At the current level of battery technology, even fast charging takes a certain amount of time to charge the battery to 80% of its capacity. After 80% is exceeded, the charging current must be reduced to protect the safety of the battery, and the time to charge to 100% will be longer.
