The current M800 generation Perodua Myvi is entering its seventh year. Launched in 2017, this Malaysia-developed Myvi received a mid-lifecycle update in 2020 but several years later, the Myvi is now due for a replacement.
Work on the new generation Myvi is progressing under the project code D01D. According to our sources, the 2025 Perodua Myvi will be launched in the first half of next year, probably as early as the first quarter. Pre-production work to verify the accuracy of the plant’s tooling and processes may even start by the end of this year.

Powertrain details are still unclear, but there is a possibility that the D01D Myvi may adopt the Perodua Ativa’s 1.0-litre turbocharged 3-cylinder engine.
A battery electric (BEV) variant is almost confirmed to follow later, as hinted by MITI Minister Tengku Zafrul yesterday on his Facebook page. Minister Zafrul said Perodua will be launching an affordable BEV model co-developed with an international company by the end of 2025.
Last year, Perodua presented a scale model of its upcoming EV model. It’s compact hatchback, with proportions very similar to a B-segment Myvi-class vehicle. Considering the Myvi's volume of over 70,000 units per year and the nascent state of Malaysia's BEV market, this has to be a BEV variant of a combustion engine model, so the scale model presented is very likely pointing to the new generation D01D 2025 Perodua Myvi.

The current M800 generation Perodua Myvi sells for between RM 46,500 to RM 48,500 for the 1.3-litre variant, and RM 50,900 to RM 59,900 for the 1.5-litre variant. It is Perodua’s second-best selling model after the Perodua Bezza.
