Lexus Thailand has launched the first ever Lexus LBX. Positioned below the Lexus UX, the entry-level B-segment premium SUV is priced 20 percent lower than the UX. If there’s a BBA (Benz, BMW, Audi) equivalent to the LBX, the closest would be the Audi Q2. The Lexus LBX rides on the same TNGA-B platform as the Japanese / European market Toyota Yaris Cross, analogous to the VW T-Roc. Two variants are available in Thailand – Luxury and Premium – both powered by the same 1.5-litre 3-cylinder M15A-FXE

Lexus Malaysia has discontinued the Lexus UX, currently the brand’s entry point. Checks with a Lexus dealer also revealed that there is no more stock of UX. The Lexus UX was first launched in Malaysia in February 2020. Until today, it remains the most comfortable compact luxury SUV we’ve driven. It’s also more engaging to drive than an equivalent Mercedes-Benz GLA or BMW X1. Unfortunately, buyers cannot overlook the fact that the Lexus UX is powered by a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, unl

Confession time: I’m one of those who firmly believes in the manual transmission supremacy in specific types of cars, i.e., Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ, Mazda MX-5, or the Toyota GR Yaris. These are the types of cars that want you to be involved in the act of driving instead of merely manoeuvring it. It’s not about sheer speed, it’s all about the sensation, the communication between you as the driver and the car. They won’t flatter poor driving and yet, won’t punish you for it either. They provide feed

Teased on its website, Lexus Singapore has just launched the Lexus LBX at the ongoing Singapore Motorshow 2024. Only one variant is available, the LBX Cool Grade which is priced at SGD 214,800 (~RM 749,000) and is inclusive of COE. The LBX sits on the GA-B platform which is similar to the TNGA-B-based European/Japanese Toyota Yaris Cross that is also offered in Singapore. It is the smallest Lexus crossover ever and is marked as the Oval L’s entry SUV model. The baby Lexus is powered by a 1.5-lit

Just yesterday, Lexus debuted its smallest crossover yet, the Lexus LBX. Global markets, including Europe, Japan and other selected markets will receive the LBX from Q4 2023 onwards. Underpinning the Lexus LBX is the GA-B platform, similar to the TNGA-B-based Yaris Cross. Despite sharing the similar platform, the Lexus LBX has a 2,580 mm long wheelbase, whereas the Yaris Cross’ is 20 mm shorter at 2,560 mm. The Lexus LBX’s entry-level positioning is also reflected in the suspension configuration

The decade-old Lexus CT 200h has long been discontinued in Malaysia but it’s still on sale in Japan. The hybrid-only Toyota Prius-based entry model Lexus is expected to be discontinued by the end of this year, which begs the next question – what will replace it? According to Japanese publication Mag-X, the Lexus CT 200h will not have a direct successor, but its role as an entry point into the Lexus family will be replaced by a new, Toyota Yaris Cross-based SUV. Said model is rumoured to wear the
