His Majesty the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, showed his appreciation to 10 nurses working at the Hospital Sultanah Aminah Royal Ward by purchasing 10 new cars for them as a gift.
The special gesture involved 10 brand-new updated Perodua Myvis for each nurse. The special gift was the Sultan’s way of showing his gratitude to these nurses for their services to the Sultan and the rest of the Johor Royal Family throughout the years.
Matron Rokian Samin, who has been serving in the hospital's royal ward since 2006, thanked Sultan Ibrahim.
“It really is very meaningful for us and our families, and we will pray for the health and well-being of His Majesty and the entire royal family,” she said.
The cars were presented to the nurses on behalf of Sultan Ibrahim by Kasawari Motors director Muhammad Fahmi Hassan.
There isn’t a time in memory that doesn’t involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
