Following Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s announcement on the latest phase of the Movement Control Order (MCO), more business sectors will now be allowed to reopen, and that includes motorsport venues like Sepang International Circuit (SIC).
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, beginning June 15, restrictions on sporting and recreational activities will be lifted, but guidelines still need to be followed.
All businesses wishing to reopen must fill up a notification form at the International Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) website, which has been available from June 8. This is so that they can obtain the standard operating procedures (SOP) and be monitored by the Youth and Sports Ministry.

Amongst the activities that are permitted under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) are badminton, athletics, two or four-wheel motorsports, weightlifting and extreme sports like skydiving, skating as well recreational activities like yoga and aerobics.
