New 2020 Toyota Hilux facelift for Malaysia gets ADAS, new 204/500 Nm engine, from RM 94k

UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT), the official distributor of Toyota models in Malaysia has opened the order books for the new 2020 Toyota Hilux.
UMWT has yet to release photos of the Malaysian-spec model.

The new model is priced from RM 93,880 for the base Toyota Hilux 2.4 MT Single Cab variant, before topping out at RM 148,880 for the Hilux 2.8 Rogue AT 4x4.

UMWT has also streamlined the Hilux line-up, introducing a new Hilux 2.4 E AT Double Cab, as well as the new 2.4 V AT Double Cab that is an upgrade over the 2.4-litre L-Edition. The range-topping 2.8 Hilux AT 4x4 takes over from the 2.8 Black Edition.
The 2.4-litre turbodiesel is carried over unchanged (150 PS/400 Nm), but the biggest highlight is the updated 2.8-litre turbodiesel that churns out 204 PS and 500 Nm, still slightly less than the Ford Ranger Wildtrak (RM 145k).

Apart from the updated powertrain, the new 2020 Toyota Hilux also gains the Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) ADAS suite, encompassing Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Yaw Assist, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC).

Like the overseas model, the Malaysian-spec Hilux also gains the new Bronze Mica Metallic colour. Other colours include Phantom Brown Metallic, Crimson Red Spark Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, Super White II, Medium Silver Metallic, and Silver Metallic.
