Set to launch in the second quarter of this year (Q2 2024), bookings for the 2024 Honda City Hatchback facelift are now open in Malaysia.
Part of the changes will be a visual nip-and-tuck across the range, while the top-spec e:HEV RS hybrid gets a new honeycomb front grille, lower grille, and a sharper bumper with fog lamp garnishes; a similar theme is found at the back, with the package complemented by 16-inch wheels in Berlina Black.

The update also sees Honda Sensing ADAS made standard to all variants of the City Hatchback facelift, including Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN). Low Speed Follow (LSF) is an exclusive addition to the City Hatchback e:HEV RS.
Overall, the model is expected to carry its five-variant count, though we reckon it could follow the City sedan facelift's playbook by replacing the V-Sensing with an RS 1.5 variant. Essentially, this carries all the kit of the hybrid, save for the electrified powertrain.
That and prices are yet to be confirmed, so stay tuned as we bring you the news as we have it.
2024 Honda City Hatchback FL specs in Malaysia
The RS variant is powered by the 1.5L e:HEV hybrid powertrain which delivers a combined 109 PS and 253 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC in the pure-petrol variants produces 121 PS and 145 Nm.
Honda Malaysia also announced that the City Hatchback has sold over 28,700 units in sales since the model made its debut here in 2021. It's also a significant contributor to the company's local expansion of its hybrid offerings, making up 16% of the brand's total hybrid sales to date.
