JPJ: No authorisation for BJAK to do road tax renewal transactions 01

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has issued a statement regarding an online promotion by BJAK, which claims to offer free road tax issuance alongside its online road tax renewal service available to the public.

JPJ emphasises that neither the Ministry of Transport (MoT) nor JPJ has authorised BJAK to conduct road tax renewal transactions. Furthermore, BJAK's claim that online road tax renewal through their platform has been audited and approved by JPJ is false and misleading.

JPJ also clarifies that there is no system integration between their JPJ MySikap system and BJAK's internal system. This stems from complaints received from the public regarding road tax renewal transactions conducted through BJAK's website, where the updated validity period of the road tax has not been reflected.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1685525140735-0'); });

Additionally, complaints have been received about additional charges imposed by BJAK for road tax renewal transactions. JPJ stresses that neither JPJ nor the Ministry has approved any additional charges imposed by BJAK on its customers.

The public is advised to exercise caution when dealing with platforms offering road tax renewal services to avoid losses and fraud. JPJ encourages individuals to contact them for further information before proceeding with any transactions.

JPJ reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the public, particularly its customers. Complaints can be submitted through the official JPJ complaints portal, linked here.
