Mercedes-Benz is gearing up to unveil a new concept car at this year's IAA Mobility show in Munich, Germany. This concept car is said to provide a glimpse into the future of the Mercedes-Benz Entry Segment.
As part of the company’s strategy to redefine its product portfolio, the concept car will mark a step in Mercedes-Benz's journey towards an all-electric future.
Details are still hidden, but the teaser image of the concept car hints at a sleek sedan design, with its elegant silhouette and a short rear deck. The side mirror attached to the A-pillar and the pronounced white styling line extending from the vehicle's ends towards the centre are also visible.
No additional details were provided by Mercedes-Benz in this announcement, though it is speculated that the production model will be based on the MMA platform and may debut in 2024.
The MMA architecture can accommodate internal combustion engines, although it was primarily designed for electric powertrains.
The IAA Mobility show will be the opportunity for visitors to witness Mercedes-Benz's entire range of current and future electric and electrified vehicles, including the new concept car, as well as provide a platform for engaging discussions about the future of mobility.
But our attention is on the new concept car that “redefines the Mercedes-Benz Entry Segment,” could it be the all-electric replacement for the Mercedes-Benz A-Class? We’ll have to wait and find out.
The quest for automotive knowledge began as soon as the earliest memories. Various sources information, even questionable ones, have been explored including video games, television, magazines, or even internet forums. Still stuck in that rabbit hole.
