After much teasing, bookings are now opened for the Neta V. Prices start from RM 99,800 (on-the-road, without insurance), making the Neta V the cheapest electric vehicle (EV) in Malaysia at the time of writing. The first 100 customers who book online are also entitled to a RM 10k cash voucher, which brings the final price down to RM 89,800.
At the 2023 Malaysia Autoshow, Netaโs Malaysian distributor, Intro Synergy Sdn Bhd opened bookings for the new EV. The Neta V is imported (CBU) from China. Deliveries are expected to start in Q3 2023.
Available in a sole variant, the price of the Neta V for Malaysia is on par with B-segment sedans, like the Toyota Vios (RM 90k to RM 95k).

Standard equipment of the Neta V include automatic halogen projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, 14.6-inch portrait-style infotainment display, 12-inch digital instrument cluster, and 6 speakers.
Itโs a decent list of equipment, but take note that the Neta Vโs steering column is fixed โ thereโs no tilt or telescopic steering adjustment here.
Safety kit for the Neta V is rather basic, encompassing stuff like two airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, auto vehicle hold, ABS, EBD, and stability control. Similar to other xEVs in its segment, the Neta V forgoes the spare tyre and is fitted with a tyre repair kit instead.
Five colours are available, namely Cyan, Midnight Grey, White Storm, Sky Blue, and Sakura Pink.
