Isuzu Motors Limited has announced that export of their popular pick-up truck, the Isuzu D-Max has begun. The D-Max will be assembled at Isuzu’s plant in Thailand and exported to Australia first before proceeding sequentially to countries across the world.
It has been almost a year since Isuzu introduced the all-new 2020 Isuzu D-Max pick-up at the Bangkok Motor Expo. Since then, the D-Max has maintained its status as the top-ranking pick-up in Thailand receiving many accolades like 2019 Most Popular Pick-up Truck and more.

Although Isuzu has confirmed that they have started exports for the D-Max, they did not specify a date as to when the trucks will arrive in Australia.
But they did confirm that after the successful arrival of the trucks in the land down under, their next target will be to export the trucks to Europe.
Isuzu is hoping that the start of export sales will strengthen the company’s light commercial vehicle (LCV) business which is one of the key challenges in the company’s mid-term business plan.
With Isuzu's focus on Europe, South-East Asian markets will have to wait a little longer. Closer to home, we have already confirmed that the all-new D-Max won't make it to Malaysia until at least 2022.
This is because Isuzu Malaysia only just introduced a major update to the pick-up truck in 2019. Not only does the D-Max now has 11 variants to offer but it also comes with Isuzu’s new lighter 1.9-litre turbodiesel that produces 150 PS and 350 Nm.
There isn’t a time in memory that doesn’t involve staring at cars. After discovering the excitement of watching Schumacher vs Hakkinen, Formula 1 became a major part of life. The love for cars and F1 ultimately led to a job with CAR Magazine. The untimely death of the magazine meant a hiatus from cars at lifestyle women’s magazine Marie Claire before another opportunity came knocking again.
