UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has updated the 2021 Toyota Innova, Toyota Hilux, and Toyota Fortuner in Malaysia. With that, prices have also increased by about RM 2k for the Hilux, RM 4k for the Innova and Fortuner.
The respective models' updated prices (with SST exemption, if applicable) are as follows:
Under the hood of the Innova is a 2.0-litre engine, making 139 PS and 183 Nm. The naturally-aspirated mill is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.
Features available in the 7-seater include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity (2.0G and 2.0X variants), with the 2.0X being the most premium of the lot, getting LED head- and taillights, as well as leather seats inside.
A wireless charging pad is now standard in every variant. Multiple USB ports are also available around the cabin.
Besides the 2.7-litre petrol mill in the Fortuner (166 PS / 245 Nm), the Hilux and Fortuner vehicles share two turbodiesel engine options: a 2.4-litre mill with 150 PS / 400 Nm, and a 204 PS / 500 Nm 2.8-litre engine. Both are paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Hilux 2.8 Rogue and 2.4 V gets a dual-zone type air-conditioning system in place of the single-zone type. The Fortuner 2.8 VRZ and 2.7 SRZ also get the dual-zone feature, while the rear USB port for the Fortuner 2.8 VRZ has been changed to Type C port.
Higher-end variants of both ladder frame vehicles get LED head- and taillights, leather upholstery, and the Toyota Safety Sense suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
