Honda Malaysia is off to a rousing start this year, as the company has recorded sales of 21,500 units in Q1 2024, on track for their total sales goal of 95,000 units for the entirety of this year. This is a whopping 23% increase over Q1 2023, in which the company sold circa 16,500 cars. According to a senior official within the company, Q1 2024's numbers were led by the HR-V, City, and CR-V. Despite troubles in China, Honda has set a record high operating profit of 1.38 trillion Yen (~RM 42 billion) for the financial year period of April 2023 to March 2024 (FY2024). The figure is 77% higher than the previous financial year.
