It looks like the Honda N7X Concept will be known as a different name in the Indian market! Reports have surfaced that Honda Cars India recently trademarked the name ‘Elevate’ in India and it is possibly the name of the brand’s upcoming 7-seater SUV in India.
Recall that back in May, Honda revealed the Honda N7X Concept car in Indonesia. The 7-seater concept SUV was highly touted to be the next Honda BR-V and the launch of the production version will likely happen in August this year.
Contradicting reports later surfaced that the Honda N7X concept will not be the next-generation BR-V. It would instead be the preview of a totally new model line that is positioned higher than the BR-V.
But since then, more details have revealed that the N7X will most likely be the next generation BR-V after all and will come powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine that dispenses 12 PS and 145 Nm from the all-new Honda City.
If the concept car does get unveiled in India as the Honda Elevate, then the model would very well be the more premium version of the Honda BR-V.
The Honda Elevate will take over the reins of the discontinued BR-V in the country. Honda Cars India discontinued sales of the Honda BR-V in 2020, right before the country implemented a new stricter BS6 emission regulation.
