Euro NCAP has announced the Leapmotor C10 battery electric vehicle (BEV) SUV has received a full 5-star rating in its safety assessment test.
In the Adult Occupant test, the C10 received a score of 89%. Euro NCAP remarked that its passenger compartment remained stable in the front offset test while dummy readings indicated good protection of the knees and femurs for the driver and passenger.
Full points were also scored in both the side barrier test and the more severe side pole impact, with good protection of all critical body regions. A geometric analysis of the rear seats also indicated good whiplash protection.

In the Child Occupant test, the C10 obtained a score of 85% with the SUV scoring the maximum points in the front offset and side barrier impact assessments.
For the Vulnerable Road Users (VRU) assessment, the electric SUV scored 77%. Euro NCAP reported that protection of the head of a struck pedestrian or cyclist was predominantly good or adequate, with poor results recorded only on the stiff windscreen pillars.
The Leapmotor C10 also achieved a score of 76% on the Safety Assist test. For the assessment of the autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system, Euro NCAP reported that its response to pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists was good.
Fully imported (CBU) from China, the Leapmotor C10 is now available in Malaysia with only one variant available, the Design which starts from RM 159,000. The D-segment SUV is powered by a 218 PS/320 Nm rear-mounted electric motor (RWD) which is juiced by a 69.9-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, good for a claimed WLTP range of 424 km.
