BYD opens its first 3S Centre in East Malaysia at Kota Kinabalu

Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia announces the grand opening of East Malaysia’s first BYD 3S Centre in Kota Kinabalu.

Operated by Regas EV Sabah, the state-of-the-art 3S facility spans 1,288 sqm and is one of the first BEV outlets in Sabah equipped with two 180 kW DC Super Charger units featuring four charging guns.

Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Retail and Distribution, Southeast Asia, Sime Motors said, "As the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, Sime Motors is incredibly proud to collaborate with Regas EV Sabah to launch the new BYD 3S Centre in Kota Kinabalu, enhancing our customer experience in East Malaysia.”

In addition to the newly launched 3S Centre in Kota Kinabalu, Regas EV Auto has opened a new BYD showroom in Sibu, Sarawak, complementing the existing showroom in Kuching. This brings the total number of showrooms in East Malaysia to 3.

Nationwide, BYD now operates 29 showrooms, with plans to exceed 30 by the end of 2024. The expansion underscores Sime Motors’ commitment to enhancing accessibility and customer service for all BYD customers in Malaysia.
