Once in a while, a car goes viral, and it's always refreshing when it's not some looney caught in a dashcam video. This is one such case โ there's a Perodua Kelisa roaming the streets of Japan, with a little twist.
Uploaded on Facebook by who is presumeably its owner, Kenji Hoshino, this is Daihatsu Mira converted to look like a Kelisa. What makes it even more unique is that it's the three-door variant, and not the typical foor-door types that served as the base car for our Kelisa.
The car in Hoshino's photographs is certainly a faithful homage to the growing Kelisa subculture in Malaysia. Tastefully lowered on aftermarket five-spoke wheels, it also sports Malaysian numberplates contained within Perodua frames!
I write about cars, I take pictures of cars, I collect diecast cars, and I go home only to play with more cars online. If I'm not doing all these then I'm shovelling money into my 7th-gen Celica project, @twojetjet.
