Watch out baddies, PRDM’s K9 units to roll with new Toyota Hilux

The Royal Malaysian Police’s (PDRM) esteemed K9 unit will be taking delivery of a new batch of Toyota Hilux models to replace their current ageing fleet.
The following set of pictures are posted on the 麻坡大件事 Facebook group.
From the photos, the Hilux models delivered are of the previous Black Edition variant. The latest Rogue model that’s currently on sale spots a different Bi-LED headlamps.
To recap, the latest Hilux Rogue gets a new 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine. It’s still the same 1GD-FTV engine as before, but has been tweaked to produce 27 PS and 50 Nm more, with outputs now reaching 204 PS and 500 Nm.
It also gets 7 airbags, and Toyota Safety suite of advance driving assistance features (ADAS) including adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitor with rear-cross traffic alert and lane departure alert with yaw assist.
The lower range variants will continue to use the 2.4-litre 2GD-FTV engine, outputs unchanged at 150 PS and 400 Nm.
Prices start from RM 92,880 for Single Cab variants, while Double-Cab variants start from RM 108,880.
