Following a report by Bloomberg regarding an impending management shakeup at Stellantis, the Euro-American automotive group swiftly announced its new management team yesterday.
The Peugeot brand will now be led by Alain Favey, replacing Linda Jackson, effective immediately. Jackson will retire and leave the organization.
Favey was previously the CEO of Europcar, a car rental company in which the VW Group holds a stake. Prior to that, he was head of sales and marketing at Bentley and Škoda, both part of the VW Group.
Favey will report to Jean-Philippe Imparato, Stellantis’ COO for the Enlarged Europe business unit.
On Jackson’s retirement, Imparato said:
“Linda is one of the emblematic figures within Stellantis. Her determination, leadership, taste for innovation, and great professionalism have enabled a remarkable repositioning of the Peugeot brand in France and internationally, particularly with a distinctive range that has been completely renewed and is 100% electric. I would like to thank Linda for her years of commitment to Stellantis and for the major role she has played in the success of our electrification strategy.”
The DS Automobiles brand will now be led by Xavier Peugeot, previously Director of Stellantis’ Commercial Vehicles Business Unit. He succeeds Olivier François, who will now head a newly created Marketing Office, which will oversee marketing teams across all Stellantis brands.
François will also retain his position as CEO of Fiat.
The CEO of Citroën remains unchanged, with Thierry Koskas continuing in his role.
In North America, Stellantis’ most important market, the Jeep brand will now be led by CEO Bob Broderdor, who was previously Senior Vice President and head of Jeep North America. Former CEO Antonio Filosa will retain his position as COO of Stellantis’ Americas region.
Leadership of Stellantis’ key Dodge and Ram brands remains unchanged, with Matt McAlear and Tim Kuniskis continuing in their respective roles.
In addition to the new appointments, Stellantis announced that regional management teams will now have greater autonomy, with ‘enhanced local decision-making and execution capabilities’ in areas such as product planning, product development, industrial operations, and commercial activities.
Furthermore, software development for all brands has been consolidated under the new Product Development & Technology organization.
Corporate affairs and communications have also been merged into a single unit.
