Geely Jia Ji(嘉际) is already launched in China, and according to Proton's lineup schedule, this brand new Geely model might become the next generation of Exora. Let's take a look at it first.
Geely Jia Ji has a slender van design that looks smooth and natural and will not be as square and bulky as some MPVs.
The new car has three interior seating options: 2+2+2, 2+2+3 or 2+3+2, which can be chosen by different families according to their needs.
The interior has made Jia Ji a new grade, with a sense of technology and a sense of design. Drivers and passengers can enjoy a full LCD instrument cluster, 12.3-inch floating widescreen infotainment panel and a double-deck centre console that houses The main controls and electronic gear selector while the lower deck area frees up additional storage space.
At the same time, you can achieve most of the control functions through Geely’s Global Key User Interface (GKUI) system, which is quite smart and convenient.
The Jia Ji is available with three powertrain options at launch – a 1.5-litre turbocharged mild-hybrid (MHEV), 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid and 1.8-litre turbo petrol. The MHEV pairs 1.5-litre turbo petrol with a 48V electrical system to push out 190 hp and 300 Nm of twist while the PHEV commands 258 hp and 385 Nm of torque. Both electrified powertrains are paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Of course, consumers who prefer to drive fuel cars can also choose the 1.8-litre turbo petrol engine and six-speed automatic combo that pushes out 183 hp and 300 Nm.
We all know that Proton Exora is about to usher in a new generation. Proton also announced its new car plan, and we also saw the prototype of Jia Ji, so this may be the prototype of Exora.
