Last weekend saw torrential downpours around the Klang Valley with flash floods affecting some parts of the city. That created some trouble for many drivers but not this Subaru Forester.
In a video taken by Motion Beyond, a Subaru dealer based in Setia Alam, we see the current-gen Forester attempting to cross a flooded road near Setia Alam. At the start of the video, a few cars dare not go through the flooded path including a couple of Toyota Hilux trucks.
The pair of "Hailaks" backed away from traversing the flooded road, looking for another detour. However, the unassuming-looking Forester simply proceeded towards the flooded exit and made it to the other side.
Nevertheless, this seemed like a good showcase to prove the Forester’s might. The Forester is available in Malaysia with 5 variants and prices start from RM 139,788. All variants are powered by a 2.0-litre flat-four (148 PS/196 Nm) and paired to a CVT automatic.
It might be a family-friendly beast with all-wheel drive and a boxer engine, but for some Malaysians, it is the ultimate flood-conquering warrior with a 15-month installment-free plan.
