These spyshots also seemingly confirm the colour variants of the upcoming Swift Sport, which includes Prime Burning Red, Metallic Speedy Blue, and Pearl Pure White. That said, it remains to be seen if the Swift Sport’s signature Champion Yellow will be offered here.
Another tidbit we spotted in the short video is the fact that we will be getting the smaller 16-inch rims wrapped in 195/50R16 tyres – smaller than the recond units, as those wear larger 17-inch wheels.
To recap, the new-generation Suzuki Swift Sport is now powered by a turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine that does 140 PS and 230 Nm.
While these figures may not seem impressive, the Swift Sport tips the scale well under the 1-tonne mark, allowing for a rather impressive power-to-weight ratio of 144 PS-per-tonne (6-speed manual)/141 PS-per-tonne (6-speed automatic). For comparison, the previous ZC32S-generation model’s power-to-weight ratio ranges from 130 PS-per-tonne to 137 PS-per-tonne.
Now that the Swift Sport has been spotted, it’s only a matter of time before prices are announced. How excited are you?
