Whilst browsing the internet for cars we can’t afford (like many of us car nuts always do), we came across a Hyundai i30N for sale on Sime Darby Auto Selection, which is the company’s used car division.
This particular Hyundai i30N is a 2020 unit with 6,197 km on the clock and is described as “nearly new,” priced at RM 248,800. This could be an ex-demonstration unit, which we have listed the pros and cons of buying one here.

To recap, the Hyundai i30N was launched in Malaysia in 2019 with a price tag of RM 298,888, limited to only 20 units, which makes it a rarer sight than the 127 units of Toyota GR Yaris allocated here.

Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that pushes out 275 PS/353 Nm (378 Nm on overboost) to the front wheels, and is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. 0-100 km/h sprint is completed in 6.1 seconds.
The i30N also comes with electronic limited slip differential, adaptive suspension, variable exhaust note valves, with an interior that feels more German than Korean (it has a panoramic sunroof).
The infotainment is an 8-inch touchscreen unit and supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are also cruise control, reverse camera, and dual-zone automatic air-conditioning.
It even has ADAS that includes lane departure warning and assistance, forward collision avoidance (warning and assist). It's actually the only car officially available in Malaysia with a manual transmission that’s equipped with ADAS.
The i30N also has a 381-litre boot that can be expanded to 1,287 litres. So that’s safety and practicality boxes checked, it’s a perfect family car. Buy it and #savethemanuals.
